College Staff Forum Council Meeting and Special Session, Today at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

September 22, 2022 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

The purpose of the College Staff Forum Council (CSFC) is to serve as an instrument for the formulation and expression of faculty, student and staff points of view as represented by staff who report up through vice presidents rather than being attached to a specific campus. The council typically considers questions relevant to its constituencies. It provides advice to and seeks advice from the Admin Council representative. CSFC also communicates with and makes recommendations to campus committees, college committees and/or the College Senate.

For reference, the council’s NOVANet page is here. It contains the council member names and past meeting agendas and minutes.

This month, the council has a two separate meetings, both on Thursday, Sept. 22. Both will use the same Zoom link. Click here for the Zoom link.

Thursday, Sept. 22, 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
The first is a special session with Dr. Michelle Brown-Nevers, NOVA’s vice president of enrollment management and student services (EMSS). This session is an opportunity to hear from Dr. Brown-Nevers about EMSS initiatives and for her to answer questions submitted to her in advance. There will not be a Q&A as part of this special session.

Thursday, Sept. 22 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
The second meeting will be our regular monthly meeting. Click here to access the Zoom link.
This month we’ll have Dr. Nathan Carter, NOVA’s Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, as part of our on-going Brown Bag Series. He will address questions provided in advance about NOVA’s DEI efforts.

Your 2022-2023 College Staff Forum Council looks forward to working with and for you!
