CCI Program Participants Honor 9/11 with Day of Service

September 26, 2022 / Our Nighthawks

Earlier this month, NOVA’s Community College Initiative (CCI) students had the opportunity to learn more about the Sept. 11 terror attacks and to meet a survivor, Dave Nanney, who was in the Pentagon on that day. Students had the opportunity to hear his story and to ask questions about what he was thinking and feeling in the moment. That weekend, students had the opportunity to do a community service project in a local park. The community service event was rained out on Sept. 11, but was rescheduled for later that week. Here are a few photos from their project. Click here to read the full article from Sept. 12.
