DEI: “Empowering Students Through the Diversity of Music,” Sept. 29

This project seeks to highlight NOVA’s continued commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, by highlighting The Blues, an important example of musical diversity. Come join us for this segment on the Piedmont Blues. Musician Frederick Franklin will speak and offer musical engagement on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. in room CA-302 of the Annandale Campus. This event will feature works by Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, Furry Lewis, The Mississippi Sheiks and Bertha Lee. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
