September 27, 2022 / Music, Arts & Other Pretty Stuff

Sanzi Kermes’ solo exhibition, soft swish of taffeta ceremonial rites of passage resurrect muted voices is being featured in the Waddell Gallery on the Manassas Campus from Monday, Sept. 26 through  Nov. 4. Please join artist Sanzi Kermes and curator Liz Faust for an opening reception this evening from  5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The exhibition is described as “A collection of repurposed wedding dresses with accompanying oral stories. A mixture of both new and older works, Kermes’ multimedia installation highlights a new direction of her practice beyond prints and printmaking and into the realm of sensory explorations and examinations of cultural expectations.”
