Office of Intl. Ed. Seeks Faculty for Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge

Last year, NOVA Adjunct Professor Samrawit Berhane Washington was selected from among applicants from several institutions to participate in Global Solutions Conversations, a subset of the Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge. This program is supported by the Stevens Initiative, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, administered by the Aspen Institute and implemented by IREX.

For spring 2023, the Global Solutions Virtual Exchange Program (supported by the Stevens Initiative), IREX is implementing two exchanges for higher education institutions in the U.S., Iraq and Jordan. The Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge is an eight-week, virtual business competition directly supporting workforce development through design thinking and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Global Solutions Conversations, a series of six virtual dialogues focused on the UN’s SDGs.

Selected faculty will develop skills in virtual exchange facilitation, design thinking and cross-cultural collaboration, as they lead bi-national teams through a virtual exchange. If you are interested in learning more, register here for an information session, or we can set up a separate call to connect.
