Ten Spaces Left for Career Services Faculty and Staff Engagement Session, Oct. 28
In today’s economy, it’s vital for students to learn how to connect their NOVA education to future career opportunities. Join the Office of Career Services for an engagement session to learn how to help your students do just that! The targeted audiences include both academic faculty and student affairs professionals. We will work to help bridge across departments and brainstorm how to best assist students.
Career Services Engagement Session participants will:
- Learn what Labor Market Intelligence (LMI) is and how the College uses it.
- Review LMI data for the region and the latest in-demand jobs.
- Learn how to explain LMI and workforce information to students.
- Gain an understanding of the tools and resources that NOVA Career Services offers.
- Acquire knowledge of how to connect NOVA students to careers.
The event will be held on Friday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the President’s Dining Room of the Richard J. Ernst Community Cultural Center on the Annandale Campus. Lunch will be provided.
Please complete this registration form by Friday, Oct. 7, if you would like to attend. Space is limited to 35 participants, and registration closes this Friday, Oct. 7.
