Empowering Students Through the Diversity of Music, Live Event, Today at 2
Back by popular demand, and brought to you by the NOVA Foundation Empowering Students Through the Diversity of Music presents NOVA alumnus Mr. Bobby Thompson, a renowned musician for the “Texas Blues” segment of the series.
Bobby has studied Texas Blues in-depth, with several albums and awards to his credit. He has performed this style of music locally and across the country for over a decade. Bobby, a former student on the Annandale Campus, will share his knowledge, demonstrate his mastery of the slide guitar and trace the evolution of electric blues from T-Bone Walker to Gary Clark Jr. We are honored to have this hometown legend and 2018 recipient of the WAMMIE Award for Best Blues Album of the Year (the Blues equivalent of the Grammys) come back home to join us.
We hope you will join us on the Annandale Campus in CA-302, today, from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served following the program. Please RSVP by scanning the QR code below.
