Celebrate the Vet Tech In Your Life: National Vet Tech Week Is Oct. 16-22

Please join us in celebrating the incredible licensed veterinary technicians in your life this week! If you pass by one of our Veterinary Technology Program students, let them know you’re rooting for them as they work toward completing their degree. Whenever you see one of NOVA’s four amazing licensed veterinary technicians, let them know how grateful you are for the countless ways they invest in and care for NOVA’s students and animals. And the next time you visit your pet’s animal hospital, please take a moment to thank your veterinary technician–your acknowledgement and appreciation will make a world of difference.

“The week of October 16-22, 2022 has been set aside as National Veterinary Technician Week to celebrate, recognize, and promote the valuable contributions credentialed veterinary technicians make to the veterinary profession and society.

Veterinary technicians are integral players on the veterinary healthcare team.  They are on the frontlines, compassionately working with clients whose beloved animals need care.  They work tirelessly in exam rooms, labs, and operating rooms, putting to work their vast technical and scientific knowledge treating and caring for every species of animal.  Their broad skills – both professional and personal – allow veterinarians to work more efficiently and effectively.  And they do it all with love and a smile, day after day.”
