3-on-3 Veteran Basketball Tournament, Sign Up by Nov. 1

The Office of Military and Veteran Services, in partnership with NOVA’s Department of Recreation and Wellness, is pleased to present the first Veteran Student, Faculty/Staff Basketball Tournament in honor of Veterans Day. The 3-on-3 match will represent all six military branches (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard) in a branch vs. branch battle!

The game will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, 12 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Alexandria Campus Fine Arts Building, AFA-234 (second floor basketball courts). The game is free and registration is not required to attend, so come out and cheer on our teams!

Player and Participation Information

Who: We invite NOVA veteran students, as well as faculty/staff who are veterans or non-veterans, to participate in the tournament. No previous basketball experience (or skill) is needed! 
Roster Size: 6 players per branch of service.
How: Space is limited. Click here to sign up to play. When you register, you can express a preference for the branch of service you would like to play for. If that branch already has six participants signed up, we will assign you to the next available branch. Those who sign up to play will receive a confirmation email by Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022. 

Special prizes will be awarded to the winning team and those participating in the tournament!
