eVA Procurement Blackout to Run Oct. 26 thru Nov. 6

October 31, 2022 / General NOVA News

The eVA Procurement System will enter a blackout period from 5 p.m. on October 26 through November 6 (extended date)! The requisition deadline for SSC is 5 p.m. on October 25. Purchase requisitions and change orders cannot be submitted in eVA during the blackout period.

During this period, the College’s small purchase charge cards (PCards) may be used for emergency and urgent procurements only.

  • Emergency Procurements: a purchase required to protect safety of people or property
  • Urgent Procurements: an unforeseen purchase that impacts operations

Employees who do not have access to a small purchase charge card may contact Procurement@nvcc.edu to request assistance.

For all Emergency or Urgent procurements:

  • Procurement rules and regulations will remain in effect.
  • All transaction must include justification that states “This procurement cannot wait until after the eVA transition because [explanation]”.
  • Cardholders must retain documentation necessary to submit a confirming order once the new platform is live and add the order number to their in Bank of America – Works reconciliation.
  • If the vendor does not accept credit card as a form of payment, the vendor must submit an invoice to invoice@ssc.vccs.edu and a confirming order must be initiated by the end-user when the new system is live.

Invoices received after Oct. 26 must be received in the new system when it becomes available.
