Statement on Antisemitism
Recent anti-semitic remarks from public figures, and the discovery of anti-semitic graffiti on college campuses in California have garnered national attention. Additionally, in 2021, the number of anti-semitic incidents in the U.S. experienced a 34-percent increase from the year before, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). These troubling moments are clear reminders that we must do everything we can so individuals from all lived experiences, religions, races, abilities, ethnicities, identities and cultures feel safe, welcomed and supported at NOVA.
Antisemitism is wrong and in violation of NOVA’s policy on equal opportunity and nondiscrimination.
NOVA joins other colleges and universities in strongly condemning hate speech in all its forms.
Should you ever feel that you have been subject to antisemitism, bias or any form of discrimination at NOVA, please report it; and if you ever feel in immediate danger, please call 911.
