NOVA Appoints New Director of Financial Aid

I am pleased to announce that Ms. Sherika Charity has been hired as the director of financial aid. Sherika has over 12 years of experience as a financial aid professional, with over 10 years of experience with the Virginia Community College System, serving in numerous roles, most recently as the Director of Financial Aid at Reynolds Community College.  She is actively involved in state, regional, and national professional organizations. She has had numerous positions on the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (VASFAA) Board, including 20-21 President. Additionally, she has presented at numerous professional conferences, including the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA) Directors’ Summit and the SASFAA Leadership Institute. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Charity to NOVA.
