UPDATE: Enrollment Cancellation For Spring
There are many details students need to keep in mind to enroll for spring courses, and many students may not be aware of the College’s payment policy and newly reinstated drop process. (NOVA paused enrollment cancellation in 2020 as the pandemic began.) We want to keep faculty and staff in the loop, so you can help your students to stay on track for spring!
In keeping with NOVA’s policy, any student who enrolls in courses must pay for the courses, set up a payment plan or apply for financial aid by the established payment deadline for the term.
For the spring 2023 term, NOVA is reinstating a one-time drop of students from courses if payment arrangements have not been made by the established payment deadline of January 3, 2023. The College will process enrollment cancellation in the days that follow.
What is enrollment cancellation?
It is the process by which the college drops students from classes due to non-payment.
What does this mean for students?
Students need to make payment arrangements by January 3, 2023. Students who have not paid for their classes, enrolled in a payment plan or have Financial Aid on file to cover their payment by January 3 will be at risk of having their classes dropped administratively.
What can you do as a faculty or staff member?
Encourage your students to make payment arrangements so their classes are not dropped. Click here for the options to pay tuition!
