Twelve More Employees Can Save a Life Thru AHA Heartsaver
The NOVA Police Department offers the American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) course. This six-hour course, which can accommodate 12 students, certifies attendees for two years in these critical lifesaving skills.
Recently, 12 faculty and staff members were trained in Heartsaver CPR and AED at the Brault Building on NOVA’s Annandale Campus. NOVA police will continue to provide CPR and AED training throughout 2023. It is our plan to provide the training on each campus, although specific plans have not been finalized.
