NOVA to Host 2023 Power Up Your Pedagogy (PUP) Conference, Jan. 9 and 10
Welcome back for the 2023 Power Up your Pedagogy (PUP) Virtual Conference on Monday, Jan. 9 and Tuesday, Jan. 10. The Theme for the 2023 PUP Conference is Engaging Students in a Post-Pandemic Environment. Our program features a keynote workshop on active learning with Dr. Todd Zakrajsek, a student/faculty panel, a plenary session on engaging gen Z students with Dr. Karah Sprouse and concurrent presentations from colleagues across the college sharing their expertise and experience using engaging teaching pedagogy and practices.
PUP will begin Monday, Jan. 9, at Noon, following the Spring Faculty Convening, with the keynote workshop and special plenary sessions for all faculty. PUP will continue Tuesday, beginning at 9 a.m., with an opening session from academic affairs. It will include six 50-minute concurrent sessions, offering your choice of five presentations during each concurrent session. PUP will conclude with a special closing session from the Annandale Center for Contemplative Practice at 4 p.m.
Zoom links for PUP will be posted on www.nvcc.edu/pup and shared via the Daily Flyer and by email on Monday. Presentations will be recorded, so if you are unable to attend a particular session, you will have the opportunity to view all PUP presentations.
