Gosia Garcia Appointed as New Director of Budget and Financial Planning
The Office of Finance and Administration is pleased to announce Malgorzata “Gosia” Garcia as NOVA’s director of budget and financial planning. Gosia holds a master of computer science and econometrics with a minor in statistics and econometrics from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland. She began her career at NOVA as a budget analyst in 2010 and has held other positions in the Budget Office as a sr. budget analyst and, most recently, as the financial and resource planning manager.
Throughout her tenure at NOVA, Gosia has assisted in designing and building the technical infrastructure of the Business Intelligence (BI) tool for finance and HR data; performed financial reporting and tracking of COVID stimulus funding; assumed responsibility for the implementation and oversight of the Workday Adaptive Insights Reporting and Planning solution to deliver a robust, drillable, managerial reporting tool; and successfully managed the allocation of NOVA’s annual budget.
