Be Ready: OEMS to Offer CPR and Stop the Bleed Training, Feb. 7 or 24

The Office of Emergency Management and Safety would like to invite all faculty and staff to participate in CPR & Stop the Bleed classes hosted at the Manassas Campus. There are two dates to choose from: Tuesday February 7 or Friday February 24. Courses run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and class size is limited to 18 attendees. Supervisor approval is required to attend these classes. There is no cost for this training. Additional classes will be announced in the future.

Instruction will include American Heart Association (AHA) Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed (STB) training.  Attendees will receive certification and personal equipment (mask and tourniquet) after successful completion of the courses.

Learn how to react when a colleague, student or visitor collapses or experiences another traumatic incident and how to perform these life-saving skills.

Classes fill quickly, and you must receive a confirmation from OEMS to attend.
