Engage in Meatless Monday with Family, Friends and Colleagues
Doing Meatless Monday on your own can be rewarding, delicious and even life-changing; but having the support of push pals (friends, family and colleagues) can make the process even easier and more enjoyable. So what’s the best way to inspire your social network on your healthy eating journey?
Thanks to technology, you can quickly create a cohort of plant-based eaters through a combination of online and in-person resources and events. Whether it’s a text group, plant-based potluck or recipe swap, there are tons of ways to encourage participation in Meatless Monday. Even the passive participant can subscribe to the Meatless Monday Newsletter or Meatless Monday Challenge with just a few clicks.
There’s strength in numbers.
Connecting with a group and aiming for similar goals can be highly motivating. It can also be a lot of fun. You’ll be able to share all the tips, struggles and insights that come with a new habit.
Reach out to your inner and outer circles and invite them to join you as you go meatless at least one day this week. Here are some ideas to get you started. Together, you can learn and benefit from plant-based eating.
Remember to harness the power of checking in to enhance the success of your wellness plan.
Use the Monday Campaigns: Weekly Check-Ins
Mindful awareness, accountability, goal setting and tracking progress are evidence-based techniques that enhance the success of a wellness plan. Each week, Move It Monday! Campaign participants are invited to use the weekly check-ins (Weekly Check In, January 30) to help you:
- remain motivated;
- reflect on your progress;
- consider how you will work with your Push Pal to get the most effective results from your wellness experiences and
- recommit to your weekly goals.
Turn intentions into actions.
