Final Day to Apply for BerufsBrucke (Career Bridge) Scholarship

Today is the final day to apply for the “Berufsbrücke” (Career Bridge) scholarship, a career booster project designed for U.S. Community College students and high school seniors! If you have students interested in learning German and in using it in a professional setting, please guide them to this scholarship? Round off the program with a trip to Germany in the summer of 2023 for a fully immersive experience of German company culture and vocational training. The scholarship will cover the virtual spring semester courses as well as accommodations, international cell phone coverage and cultural excursions. Additionally, the Goethe institute will provide an additional $1,500 stipend to cover any remaining costs for the three-week trip to Germany for summer 2023! Apply now!

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Trademarks of successful applicants:

  • They are enrolled in a community college or in their high school senior year
  • They want to learn about vocational training and workplaces in Germany and show interest in engineering
  • They are keen to learn the German language and master speaking German in the workplace
  • They are willing and able to dedicate 9-15 hours a week for a total of 15 weeks of intense language training in 2022 (language courses are entirely free of cost thanks to stipends from the Goethe-Institut)
  • Age requirement: Born in or before the year 2005 (at least 18 years old at time of travel in 2023)
