Seeking FT Faculty for Ad Hoc Work Group on Reassigned Time. Apply by COB Today
As a follow-up to a College Senate resolution, Dr. Kress has called for an ad hoc work group to examine NOVA’s process of awarding reassigned time (RAT) to full-time teaching faculty. The ad hoc work group is charged with reviewing the RAT procedures at NOVA, as well as best practices at other institutions, and then developing recommendations for an institutional policy and procedures in regard to full-time faculty reassigned time. The ad hoc work group will meet regularly throughout the spring semester and submit a final report by May 15, 2023.
This ad hoc work group will be co-chaired by Dr. Eun-Woo Chang (CAO/VP of Academic Affairs) and Dr. Molly Lynch (Provost-MA) and will include two academic deans and representatives from Human Resources and the Budget Office. To ensure that faculty are well represented on this ad hoc work group, we are inviting full-time teaching faculty who are interested in working on the issue of reassigned time to apply to join this work group. Applications are due today, January 31.
We hope full-time teaching faculty will consider applying to be part of this ad hoc work group.
If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact Dr. Eun-Woo Chang (echang@nvcc.edu) or Dr. Molly Lynch (mlynch@nvcc.edu).
