NOVA Faculty and Staff to Speak at Unity in Diversity Panel, Feb. 27
NOVA Faculty and Staff to Speak at Unity in Diversity Panel, Feb. 27
Join us for a “Unity in Diversity” panel presentation on Monday, Feb. 27 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Annandale Campus, CA-302. The panel will address the question, “What are the main factors that cause rifts between different faith and spiritual groups?” and will feature presentations from professors Zahra Rafie (AN-Sociology), Laura Shulman (WO-Communication & Humanities), Manori P. Nadesalingam (AN-Physics) and Pastor Jason.
The goal of this event is to address prejudices, misunderstandings and divisive thinking/dialogue around faith and spirituality to help the NOVA college community become a safer and more tolerant environment for all. A question and answer session will follow the presentations. This event is sponsored by NOVA Annandale Student Government Association (SGA) (nvccsga@gmail.com).
