Nominations for Employee Reward and Recognition Open thru March 6

The employee reward and recognition nomination cycle opens today and will remain open through March 6. Prepare now to give credit where credit is due!

REWARDS
We are pleased to announce that the nomination period for NOVA’s 2023 Reward Programs will remain open until Monday, March 6. Through this program, full‐time administrative and professional faculty, full‐time teaching faculty, and adjunct faculty who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments and  are eligible to receive monetary awards up to $2000.00.

As you may recall, full-time classified staff and P14 employees are eligible for a reward under the NOVA Spot Award Program that was announced in November 2022. The link for supervisors to submit a Spot Award can be found on Form 105-245 posted in the Forms Library.

To nominate a full‐time administrative and professional faculty, full‐time teaching faculty, or an adjunct faculty, please CLICK HERE (the nomination period will open on Monday, February 6), and use your MyNOVA credentials to log in. Select the tab that corresponds to the employee’s classification.

  • If you would like to nominate an administrative or professional faculty member, please select one of the job domains and submit a statement of up to 500 words describing why you believe this person should receive a reward. Please describe why you believe this employee has exhibited exemplary performance.
  • If you would like to nominate a full‐time teaching faculty member, please select one of the job domains and submit a statement of up to 500 words describing why you believe this person should receive a reward. Please describe why you believe this person has exhibited exemplary performance. 
  • If you would like to nominate an adjunct faculty member, please select one of the three job domains and submit a statement of up to 500 words describing why you believe this person should receive a reward. Please describe why you believe this person has exhibited exemplary performance. 

Please submit your nomination(s) by close of business on Monday, March 6, 2023.  

Nominations will be reviewed by three separate committees that have been selected by the College Senate and the Campus Forum Councils. We encourage you to give concrete examples of your nominee’s accomplishments so that the committees can make informed decisions.

RECOGNITION
As a reminder, employees can always send colleagues a quick note of thanks or a shout out for a job well done using NOVAfy, the e-card recognition program that provides faculty and staff with a way to recognize, encourage, and/or thank each other.  NOVAfy is a fun way to celebrate the work we all do every day that impacts our students. NOVAfy can be accessed through NOVANet using your MyNOVA login credentials.
