A Few Seats Still Available for Effectively Facilitating Online Discussions Workshop, March 6
Facilitating online discussions and providing feedback on students’ coursework are two essential components of ‘substantive interaction,’ the new regulation on distance education implemented by the U.S Department of Education. To assist faculty and support NOVA’s compliance with the federal requirement, we will offer the following two workshops during the spring semester. Faculty who are teaching fully online courses, hybrid courses or remote courses can benefit from these workshops.
- Effectively Facilitating Online Discussions, March 6 – 12
- Providing Quality Feedback for Online Learners, April 24 – 30
The workshops are asynchronous online in Canvas, and you can learn anywhere anytime to complete learning tasks based on your personal schedule. Register at GSMU by selecting Online Teaching on the navigation menu. Have questions or need help? Please contact Hong Wang at hwang@nvcc.edu.
