Statewide Tornado Drill TODAY at 9:45!
Severe Weather Awareness Week is March 6 thru 10. Once again, NOVA is partnering with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and the National Weather Service to promote Virginia’s Severe Weather Awareness Week. This week is designed to refresh, remind and educate everyone about the threats from severe weather and how to avoid them. It’s also a great time to exercise your emergency plan!
There will be a Statewide Tornado Drill today at 9:45! During this drill, we will activate DMS screens and office/classroom phones to signal the start of the Tornado Drill. Weather Radios will not activate. Faculty, staff and students should relocate to a severe weather shelter area. Severe weather shelters can be determined by identifying this sign.
At 10 a.m., the drill concludes, and you can resume normal activities. Please direct questions to the Office of Emergency Management and Safety, oem@nvcc.edu.
