“360” Formative Feedback for Administrative/Professional Faculty

March 8, 2023 / HR News/Training

In accordance with VCCS policy (Section 3.6.1.4.a.vii), all administrative/professional faculty will be receiving “360” formative feedback this year. This assessment is conducted every three years and serves to assist the faculty member in identifying the degree to which they are meeting expectations in each performance domain, as well as a broader perspective on their overall performance (strengths and development for self-improvement).

Supervisors will select a minimum of 10 individuals (up to a max of 25) to complete an assessment of the administrative/professional faculty member. There is no right to be selected to be a reviewer; it is the supervisor’s discretion. Those selected should be a mix of direct reports, peers and colleagues that the administrative/professional faculty member interacts with on a regular basis. The assessment should take approximately ten minutes to complete. If selected to participate, you will receive an email from NoReply@nvcc.edu with the subject line 360 Formative Feedback Review Request that will include a link to the assessment. Reviewers will have two weeks to complete the assessment. Additional instructions will be sent to supervisors.

Formative feedback is not an evaluation. The information provided by reviewers will be used by the administrative/professional faculty member and supervisor as a professional development tool. Responses provided will remain anonymous and confidential. Results will be compiled into a summary report only.
