ACCP Workshop–Flow: Engaging with All from Wherever You Are. March 24
The Annandale Center for Contemplative Practice (ACCP) welcomes you to the sixth of our DEI-supported workshops – “FLOW.” This workshop will be held on Friday, March 24, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the Annandale Campus (CM-332) – also known as “the ACCP.” Any and all NOVA Faculty and Staff are welcome to register!
Join us for Flow: Engaging with All from Wherever You Are: Keeping up with all that happens around us can feel exhausting! There’s always a new policy, a sudden departure, a new hire, a sudden or unexpected arising or just… change. It seems that when we pay attention to all that is happening around us, the only thing we can count on is that change will happen. (Spoiler… it will! This statement is true!) With this truth, we realize that our challenges might arise not from trying to adapt to change, but rather, in trying to keep things the same in spite of the nature of change.
In this workshop, we will do a deep dive on just this notion–what is it that keeps us holding on to the present, and what might we find, and who might we be, if we learn to let go of trying to keep things as they are?
When we see that the river flows, we might discover that we don’t need to swim. We can learn to float!
We hope you join us for this one! It promises to be a fun one. This workshop is supported by the NOVA Foundation and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion via a DEI InNOVAtion Grant. A vegetarian boxed lunch will be provided to all participants.
If you need accommodations to participate in this event, please send your request for accommodation to the hosts of this event at accp@nvcc.edu.
