DEI Spotlight Event: Kellie Blair Hardt to Speak for Women’s History Month, March 22

March 16, 2023 / Events

The Office of DEI is excited to welcome Kellie Blair Hardt back to the Manassas Campus for the Women’s History Month DEI Spotlight Event!

Kellie graduated from NOVA in 1998 and is thrilled to return and share her inspiring story of overcoming homelessness, alcoholic parents, dropping out of high school and other challenges to later become an award-winning educator pursuing a PhD. Kellie titled the event, “Keep Accelerating: One Woman’s Journey of Pushing Forward,” to capture the non-linear path she has taken to redefining and finding success. After sharing her story nationally on PBS, Kellie is particularly eager to return to NOVA as she comes full-circle back to the place that jumpstarted her journey.

You do not want to miss this inspiring event! Please plan to attend and invite your students. The event is at the Manassas Campus, Colgan Theater on Wed.March 22, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. For accommodations or questions, contact Sherrene DeLong (SDeLong@nvcc.edu).

This event is open to all NOVA students, faculty and staff, as well as the public. Feel free to share the Eventbrite link to promote this event.
