Faculty and Staff Become TECC Certified by OEMS

March 20, 2023 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

Recently, six of our faculty and staff attended and completed the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care – Active Bystander training provided by OEMS. The TECC course is endorsed by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, is consistent with the current guidelines established by the Committee on TECC, and meets all of the updated National Tactical Emergency Medical Support Competency Domains. This course provided these individuals with the skills and knowledge of how to respond during a violence event and to address life-threatening emergencies. Congratulations to all on their completion of the course. For additional training opportunities and upcoming dates keep your eye out on the Daily Flyer or please email oem@nvcc.edu.
