Registration Open for April 15 VCCS Experiential Learning Conference. Submit Proposals by March 27

March 20, 2023 / Events

Registration for the upcoming Virginia Community College Experiential Learning Conference is now open! This day-long conference will take place at NOVA’s Annandale Campus on Saturday, April 15 and is open to students across the VCCS. The goal of this event is to highlight the transformative promise of experiential learning through student-produced projects and collaborative presentations conducted by faculty/staff and students. Of note, this event will feature a keynote address from Dr. Wayne Frederick, president of Howard University.

We are currently accepting proposals from you and your students highlighting experiential learning projects focused on themes related to study abroad, undergraduate research, service learning, internships, apprenticeships and leadership. This is a great way for students to build their resumes while also getting practical, hands-on experience! Proposal submissions are due by Monday, March 272023Click here to submit a proposal

Even if a student or faculty member does not wish to present, we still encourage participation! Faculty may consider offering extra credit for students who attend the event.
