Learn to Use the Metaverse to Enhance Your Course, March 30
Are you looking for alternative ways to engage your students? Virtual worlds provide an immersive 3D environment that many instructors in higher education are using with their students as an exciting teaching tool. NOVA has a region in a virtual world called Second Life (SL) that has over 20 educational activities to enhance student learning. In addition to activities on the NOVA region, there are many other regions in Second Life where students can explore other disciplines and access virtual libraries complete with live help. This virtual workshop will explain the many ways instructors have used SL with their students to give you some ideas of how you can incorporate SL into your courses. For a list of NOVAs Second Life resources.
NOVA’s SL region currently has activities for biology, geology, language, healthcare, art, and more! Help is available via tutorials, handouts, and videos as well as a thriving virtual education community.
