NOVA Online’s Dr. Hong Wang Awarded OLC’s DEI Scholarship!

Dr. Hong Wang, associate director of instructional technology training at NOVA Online has won the Online Learning Consortium’s (OLC) Innovate 2023 Scholarship for OLC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and will have the opportunity to attend the OLC Innovate Conference.

This scholarship was established to honor digital learning leaders who are part of a historically excluded community. Awardees are recognized for their thought leadership and contributions to advancing equity, inclusion, diversity, and advocacy in the online learning field. This organizational support is intended to bolster access to professional development opportunities and strengthen communities of practice.

“I’m truly honored to receive the OLC DEI Scholarship,” said Dr. Wang. “I’m very grateful to OLC and its Nominations, Awards and Recognition Committee for this incredible recognition for advocacy and work I love to do each day.” 

As part of this award, Hong will participate on a panel of honorees discussing trends in online learning during the “OLC/Merlot Innovate 2023 Awards Gala.”
