OMVS Students enjoy Opening Day at Nats Park
Thanks to a generous donation from the Washington Nationals, the Office of Military and Veteran Services was able to provide Opening Day tickets to 26 active duty, veteran and military-affiliated students and their guests. After opening ceremonies, which included a fly over by the 121st Fighter Squadron from the D.C. Air National Guard, students were able to enjoy a day at Nats Park despite the Braves taking the win.
Led by Dr. Takesha McMiller, the Office of Military and Veteran Services provides comprehensive resources to veterans and military related personnel who are utilizing VA and tuition assistant educational benefits. Support from community organizations such as the Washington Nationals enables our students to enhance their connections to their community.
Thanks again to the Washington Nationals!
