Updates from the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities
The Office of Students Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR) would like to thank college senate and faculty members that shared personal stories regarding campus safety during last week’s senate meeting. OSRR is committed to working collaboratively to address faculty concerns about classroom safety. Over the last month, a reporting update was made to provide better alignment for OSRR. Going forward, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and college dean of OSRR reports to the Office of Student Support Services, led by Dr. Takesha McMiller, interim associate vice president for Student Support Services. Over the next several weeks, the OSRR will highlight a series of diverse student conduct topics and communicate the primary goals of the OSRR. The OSRR continues to work to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every NOVA Nighthawk member. If you are interested in learning more about the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities or would like to request a presentation, please contact us at osrr@nvcc.edu.
