Going Global: Growing Global 2.0 REBOOT, April 21
Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC), invite you and interested colleagues to attend the upcoming no cost online symposium: “Going Global: Growing Global 2.0 REBOOT: Relaunching Global Education in a Post-Pandemic World” on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
As the world begins to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, there is growing excitement about resuming international programming. The pandemic disrupted many plans, but now there is renewed hope that these opportunities will be available once again. This virtual symposium brings together faculty, administrators, and organizations involved in community college international education to discuss how we move beyond the pandemic and reimagine the relevance, priorities, and methods of their internationalization efforts. Special attention will be given to the critical importance of maximizing limited resources to develop programming, utilizing partners to support internationalization, and seeking faculty professional development opportunities as well as supporting student scholarships.
Register for the symposium here. Please also share this opportunity with interested colleagues who might want to attend. This online symposium will also be recorded for later viewing.
Any questions can be directed to symposium co-moderators Leeza Fernand, Assoc. Director of International Education & Sponsored Programs, NOVA, and Jeff Badger, Program Manager, CAORC.
