Meet Your Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities Team

The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR) is a college-wide office that is made up of Student Ombuds Services and Student Integrity and Conduct. The members of OSRR are located on campuses to serve faculty, staff and students. We have provided a short bio of each team member so the college community can “meet” the team.

Student Ombuds Services Team:

Andrea DuPuch, B.A.
Andrea DuPuch is a student services expert with over 40 years of higher education experience. Andrea oversees the daily operations in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, including the Late Withdrawal process and Student Ombuds Services.

Andrea enjoys assisting students and helping them find their way into higher education. Andrea takes pleasure in collaborating with her peers, faculty and staff to serve students in an excellent manner. The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities can be reached via e-mail at osrr@nvcc.edu.

Tanneh Kamara, DA
Dr. Tanneh Kamara is an experienced student services professional with over 20 years of experience. She is the inaugural Student Ombudsperson at Northern Virginia Community College and assumed this role in the spring of 2021. Dr. Kamara believes in helping students understand their rights and equipping them with the skills necessary to self-advocate.

Dr. Kamara’s passion is bringing compassion, honesty and empathy to students seeking answers. She believes that the collaboration between Student Ombuds Services, faculty, staff and the leadership team at NOVA empowers students to navigate their academic journey successfully. Student Integrity and Conduct Team:

Chevella Wilson, PhD
Dr. Chevella Wilson holds a BA, MS, an EdS in Higher Education Administration, and a PhD in Leadership. Dr. Wilson is a certified Restorative Practices trainer and works to create diverse and inclusive environments. As an author, Dr. Wilson has written a book and several articles about Culturally Relevant Teaching. She currently serves as the coordinator for student integrity and conduct for the Loudoun and Woodbridge campuses. Her primary office is on the Loudoun Campus. Lisa Zandel, MPA
Ms. Lisa Zandel is a career public servant having worked at the Supreme Court of Virginia and at NOVA. While employed with NOVA, Lisa obtained her master’s degree from Old Dominion University (ODU) in public administration and graduated with honors. Before joining the student conduct team, Ms. Zandel served as a NOVA police officer for 10 years. Lisa is a Virginia Supreme Court mediator for General District and Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts and hopes to bring fairness and common sense to her role as coordinator for student integrity and conduct for the Alexandria and Manassas campuses. Ms. Zandel’s primary office is on the Alexandria Campus. She also has an office at the Manassas Campus for her weekly Tuesday visit. Steven Mosley, MRE
Mr. Mosley holds a BS, MA, and MRE. Mr. Mosley began his higher education career in 2010 and has served in the Office of Student Conduct since 2011. Steven joined NOVA’s student conduct team in 2014, accepting the role of coordinator for student integrity and conduct. Mr. Mosley currently oversees the student conduct process at the Annandale and Medical Education campuses. Mr. Mosley’s primary office is at the Annandale Campus.
