What’s Next for Nighthawks? Help Us Find Out!

April 26, 2023 / General NOVA News

As the academic year comes to a close, we have the opportunity to gather information about post-NOVA plans of our soon-to-be graduates. Employer Engagement & Career Services has launched a pilot version of the First Destination Survey, which was developed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

This is a new endeavor for our College, and we are excited to learn more about where our graduates are heading when they graduate. The survey will collect information about their employment, further education, or other post-graduation plans.

We ask that faculty members encourage their students to complete the survey. It is convenient, and this information will help us evaluate our programs and ensure that we are meeting the needs of our students as they prepare for the next chapter in their lives. In fall of 2023, a targeted rollout of the survey will occur within participating programs, with the intention of improving the survey tool for the full implementation at the institutional level.

The data collected will also be valuable for prospective students and families considering NOVA. By sharing the successes of our graduates, we can continue to illustrate the positive impact NOVA has on students and the community.

Thank you in advance for your support in this important initiative. If you have any questions about the First Destination Survey or would like to meet to discuss participation in the fall pilot project, please reach out to Alex Williams at AMWilliams@nvcc.edu.
