NOVA AN Campus Seeks Interim Dean of LASS

The Annandale Campus is seeking an interim LASS dean to serve while Dean Jen Daniels serves in an interim AVP of Academic Affairs role, beginning at the end of spring semester. 

The interim dean must hold at least a master’s degree in a teaching field within the language, arts or social science disciplines from a regionally-accredited institution. In addition, the interim dean must have at least two years of full-time administrative experience, including responsibility for program oversight, personnel supervision and budget management. 

For the period of this appointment, the interim dean must commit to working at the Annandale Campus and maintaining an active and visible presence throughout that campus and community. The interim dean will serve as a member of the Academic Deans Working Group with all associated responsibilities and will report to the Annandale provost. Acting pay, in accordance with VCCS policy, will be provided for the duration of this appointment. 

NOVA employees who meet these qualifications, understand the requirements and wish to be considered for the role of interim LASS dean should submit a one-page letter of interest and a CV to Dr. Diane Mucci (DMucci@nvcc.edu) by May 5, at 5 p.m. The interim dean will be selected and appointed by the Annandale provost from the pool of qualified individuals expressing interest.
