It’s Farmers Market Season!
Farmers markets have fruits and vegetables at the peak of the growing season. This means produce is at its freshest and tastes its best. The food is typically grown near where you live. Shopping at the farmers market also supports your local farmers and keeps the money you spend on food closer to your neighborhood.
If you aren’t sure about the hours or location of your nearest market, use this search tool from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to find one close to you.
Enjoy the best of what DMV offers in fresh foods and good neighbors!
