NOVA-AL Wishes Farewell to Our Dear Colleague and Friend, Keith Wynn

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that our colleague, Keith Wynn passed away on April 16, 2023. Keith served as a counselor at the NOVA Alexandria Campus for many years. He was always the consummate professional. We will always remember him as a beloved colleague and friend, and one who cared deeply about our students and their success. He will be sorely missed.

Keith’s Alexandria Campus family have dedicated a bulletin board to celebrate his life. If you would like to submit any thoughts, poems, muses, art or pictures of or with Keith, please send them to Karen Schwartz at kaschwartz@nvcc.edu by close of business on May 15. We will collect all submissions and share them with the Wynn family.

The following is the obituary notice of Keith:

Eric Keith Wynn, Silver Spring, MD, passed away on April 16, 2023, from natural causes at the age of 66. Mr. Wynn was a graduate of Indiana University class of 1979. He had over 35 years working in higher education, including Grinnell College, Iowa; and Wheaton College, Massachusetts. From January 1998, he was employed by Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria, Virginia. He is survived by his siblings: brother, Irving Wynn, Lafayette, IN; two sisters: Sylvia Wynn, Nashville, TN and Constance Wynn, Washington, D.C. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 7005 Piney Branch Road NW, Washington, DC 20012.  Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by services at 11 a.m. Interment is at Parklawn Memorial Park and Menorah Gardens, Rockville, MD.
