Enjoy Your Colleagues’ Haiku for Community College Month!
Today’s topic is the sharing of the spring 2023 haiku submissions.
Yesterday’s commencements were a wonderful celebration of our students’ success and your dedication to ensuring their journeys ended with a walk across the stage at graduation.
Today seemed an ideal time to share the wonderful haiku many of you wrote in honor of Community College Month. My thanks to the writers for sharing their talents! I hope you will have some time this summer to read these inspiring, humorous and timely poems by your colleagues (with one assist from ChatGPT).
With this week’s topic, my weekly message shifts to a biweekly format for the summer; and as shared last week, the Daily Flyer will be shifting to its own summer schedule (Tuesday and Thursday) at the end of this month.
On behalf of our newest NOVA alumni, our continuing students and the new Nighthawks who will join us in August, I extend my gratitude for your commitment to our mission of transforming the lives of our students and advancing opportunity in our community. The difference you make is real, lasting and extraordinary. Thank you!
