VCCA 39th Annual Conference Registration and Hotel Reservations Now Open
As a reminder, the 39th VCCA Annual Conference is scheduled for September 27 through 29 at the Omni Richmond Hotel. Conference registration is now open and the hotel is accepting room reservations at the links below:

VCCA Excellence in Communications Competition Any original publication or works created by professionals who work full-time or part-time for Virginia’s Community Colleges are eligible. Awards will be listed in individual names only if the individual is a current member in good standing of the VCCA. Otherwise, awards will be listed in the college or college department name only. To become a member of the VCCA, register at www.vccaedu.org prior to submission of entries. Entries must have been used or produced between June 1, 2022 – May 31, 2023.
VCCA Excellence in Education Award is presented to a VCCA member that has been in good standing for a minimum of 5 years. The award winner is nominated by their peers and selected by the VCCA Executive committee through a secure vote before the annual conference each year. The full-time or retired staff or faculty member must demonstrate excellence in several significant contributions to education, the community college, and to professional development in and out of the VCCA.
VCCA Lifetime Award is presented to a VCCA member that has been in good standing for a minimum of 10 years. The award winner is nominated by their peers and ultimately selected by the current delegates through a secure vote before the annual conference each year. The full-time or retired employee must demonstrate excellence in significant contributions to the VCCS and/or the VCCA.
VCCA Showcase Award is presented to a VCCA member that is in good standing. The award winner is nominated and selected by their respective college in the VCCS. The outstanding faculty/staff member must demonstrate excellence in several significant contributions to education and their college.
