Reaffirmation of NOVA’s SACSCOC Accreditation

We wanted to share a quick update on NOVA’s accreditation status with SACSCOC. At its June 2022 meeting, the SACSCOC Board of Trustees reaffirmed NOVA’s accreditation with a request for a Monitoring Report due April 1, 2023. This report was submitted in March 2023 and addressed SACSCOC Principle 6.2b (page 53) related to having a sufficient number of full-time faculty. At their recent June 2023 meeting, the SACSCOC Board of Trustees accepted this report and reaffirmed NOVA’s accreditation.

This SACSCOC reaffirmation is a true sign of the quality of a NOVA education and to those who work here. Many thanks to all of those who have been part of the SACSCOC accreditation process and who continue to ensure NOVA’s excellence.

NOVA’s next decennial reaffirmation will take place in 2032. There will also be fifth-year review in 2027. NOVA’s accreditation status can be found here: NOVA’s SACSCOC accreditation status.
