Arlington Tech Graduates Exceptional Nighthawks
Fifteen students from Arlington Career Center (ACC) are leaving high school with not just their high school diploma but also an associate’s degree from NOVA. An additional ten earned the General Education Certificate (equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree). These 25 students serve as proof that the partnership between NOVA and ACC provides students with higher-quality career and education choices than what is available to the typical high school graduate.
Thanks to a robust offering of NOVA dual enrollment courses offered at ACC, these 25 exemplary students were able to earn the bulk of the credits they needed within their own high school. Asynchronous courses offered through NOVA’s Early Online College program also helped students meet requirements.
NOVA’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Eun-Woo Chang, attended the students’ high school graduation on Tuesday, June 13, to offer his congratulations to these students when they crossed the stage. He will also represent the NOVA educators who’ve worked hard to support these students as they earned their higher education credentials while still in high school. One thing is for sure, these students have earned the pride and respect of faculty and staff from both institutions!
