Business Meal Procedure Now In Effect!

A new Business Meal Procedure (314P) is now available through NOVA’s Administrative Policies Webpage and goes into effect immediately. Outstanding requests that haven’t been approved will be reviewed using the updated procedural requirements. If you procure food for College meetings or events, please carefully review the new guidelines for submitting requests.

The procedure provides guidance on what types of events are eligible for business meals and what fund types can be used for payment. Below are some key highlights:

• NOVA’s Auxiliary Services department has two contracted food service providers (Surefire Catering and RNS Enterprise) who retain the right to provide all meal and catering services to the College or exercise their right of first refusal.
• Requests to use outside vendors will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
