Tell Us About Your “Sense of Belonging” at NOVA, Beginning Today at 9
This year’s convocation theme is “Sense of Belonging.” Belonging is that feeling of connectedness to a group or community; a sense that you are a part of something. A sense of belonging is not only important for student success, but for employee success as well.
As we gear up to begin the new academic year, and as we celebrate that at our fall convocation (August 16), we want to hear from faculty and staff about their experiences at NOVA and their feeling of belonging here. We are seeking enthusiastic faculty and staff to share their reflections about belonging at NOVA.
The Moon Bounce Media team will be visiting campuses this week (beginning this morning) to offer 10-minute interview slots for staff and faculty to offer their reflections on belonging. These reflections will be a part of the convocation video presentation. The video team will be on campuses at the following times over the next few days:
Tuesday, July 25, Alexandria Campus, 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday, July 25, Annandale Campus, 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Wednesday, July 26, Woodbridge Campus, 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Wednesday, July 26, Manassas Campus, 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
Wednesday, July 26, MEC, 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Thursday, July 27, Loudoun Campus, 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Express your interest by signing up for a 10-minute slot using this google form. If you are selected, you will be contacted with details and campus locations.
We want to hear from you as we celebrate the start of the 2023-2024 school year!
