NOVA Esports… Impacting Lives and Building Community

Our NOVA eSports program goes beyond just winning games, it is about developing well-rounded individuals who can excel, both in gaming and in their personal and professional lives. On July 12, Game Gym partnered with NASCAR and the Boys & Girls Club of America to host over 300 gamers, helping them to learn the basics of Rocket League. NOVA, three-time National Rocket League Champions, proudly combined forces with Game Gym to impact lives in our DMV community. Our NOVA Esports Varsity Rocket League roster of Dominic, Camden and Henry spent the day working with Game Gym to provide coaching and general guidance for the attendees. The players were diligent in supporting the overall mission of Game Gym, which is to offer structured, quality learning experiences for the youth. 

These types of community engagements present our students with the opportunity to represent the college in a fun and active way. Providing opportunities for leadership, skill development, and community engagement, can create a positive impact on the lives of participating students and the community as a whole.
