NOVA Esports Is N.I.C.E (Nighthawks Involved in Community Engagement)

August 10, 2023 / Our Nighthawks

NOVA Esports partnered with Fairfax County’s Neighborhood and Community Services division to host a group of eight campers from the James Lee Community Center’s Teen Center After School Program for local youths.  Specifically, the summer camp students were able to learn from NOVA Esports Coaches Jordan Whitaker and John O’Neil, as well as three college student guest speakers who each have unique experiences in the college esports space.  The opportunity to share insights, experience, and personal stories as well as general life and college advice provided an invaluable learning experience for all involved.

Before the end of the visit, the summer camp students were able to use the NOVA Esports’ newly acquired PCs to play Roblox and other games, providing them with the “full experience” in what it feels like a collegiate student-athlete in esports! Let’s Go Nighthawks!
