NOVA’s Institutional Review Board

August 15, 2023 / General NOVA News

Did you know that NOVA has an Institutional Review Board (IRB), which evaluates internal and external research proposals at the college, including those submitted to outside funding agencies? The IRB is an administrative body established to protect the rights and welfare of human research subjects recruited to participate in research activities conducted at or on behalf of the institution. The IRB is charged with the responsibility of reviewing all research involving human participants. For more information on NOVA’s IRB, please visit our website.

If you are interested in conducting research at NOVA which involves human subjects, contact the Office of Strategic Insights (OSI) osi@nvcc.edu. If you receive an email from an internal or external researcher asking you for participants in their research, please forward the email osi@nvcc.edu.
