OSRR “Table Talk” Sessions to Begin August 29
The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities will offer a series of online sessions called “OSRR Table Talks” during the 2023-24 academic year. These sessions are designed to give members of the college community an opportunity to learn about a variety of topics, ranging from acceptable behavior across online and in-person instructional settings, to best practices for supporting students in crisis. The one-hour sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., beginning August 29. They will consist of a 40-minute topical presentation followed by a 20-minute Q&A session. Registered participants can also send topical questions before each session starts.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Please note that the sessions open online at 10:30 a.m. and programming begins at 11 a.m. The schedule for the sessions and their registration links is below:
- August 29, 11 a.m.: Acceptable Behavior in the Classroom
- September 12, 11 a.m.: Student Expectations
- September 26, 11 a.m.: Understanding the Academic Integrity Policy
- October 17, 11 a.m.: Understanding the Code of Conduct
- October 31, 11 a.m.: Best Practices for Working with Students in Crisis
- November 14, a.m.: Due Process Rights and Educational Sanctions
