September 6, 2023 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

What is PLOMS you ask?  PLOMS is a course design model that addresses Presentation, Language, Options, Measurement and Support/Scaffolding while also focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. The July workshop was very well received and there will be one last two-week asynchronous session from Sept. 10 through Sept. 24. Space is limited, so register soon! Complete the Google Form to apply. (You may need to log into your My NOVA account.) Once the roster has been determined, registered participants will receive more information on how to access the Canvas site, etc. a day or two before the start date.

Enrolled participants who successfully complete the workshop may be eligible to receive a stipend. The Office of Human Resources will verify eligibility for receipt of supplemental compensation for this professional development opportunity. If you are not eligible to receive the stipend, you are encouraged to still participate in the workshop.

Thank you for your interest. Questions? Contact Maureen Madden, mmadden@nvcc.edu.
